On March 18, 2020, Governor Kelly directed state agencies to close for the next two weeks except for minimal staff needed to deliver essential services. This is due to the continuing impact of COVID-19. In accordance with this directive, the Kansas Sentencing Commission will be closed from March 23 – April 3. No business will be conducted, including but not limited to:

  • Receipt of journal entries or presentence investigation reports by regular mail or fax;
  • SB 123 assistance from KSSC staff (Beacon provider payments will still be processed);
  • Desk Reference Manual order processing;
  • Research data requests;
  • Scheduled webinars and presentations; or
  • Assistance from the staff attorney;
